This rare late edition example of the Bedford Refuse Wagon is in orange cab & chassis, grey wagon, green metal shutters, beige coloured wheels, silver grill & bumper and with windows. Made in 1963, this is the second edition of this orange & grey refuse wagon having metal wheels and shutters but with the new look silver grill & bumper. And being a late example of the refuse wagon, it has the correct  late ‘shiny gloss black’ base plate. This example on show was made for a very short time only before the introduction of the plastic wheels and plastic shutters. It is contained in the correct style, correct late ‘two tone’ plain issue box which also still contains the protective card packing ring and the tested tag. This is one of the best examples of this model and box we have ever seen.
