431 Guy "Warrior" Wagon

This revised edition of the popular Guy lorry is of the late “Warrior” type. This rare Guy “Warrior” wagon is in fawn cab & chassis, dark green wagon and mid green coloured wheels and the correct late tread tyres. Made between 1958 & 1960 this is the first issue without windows and is contained in the correct style first edition box. These ‘end flap’ boxes are exceptionally hard to find in good condition due to their size which makes them very fragile compared to the boxes of the earlier Guy lorries. These first edition examples without windows are very hard to find in such fine condition  especially as its contained with its correct style first edition box. This will be hard to better!

"One of the best surviving original examples around".

(this model is not for sale)

A point of interest: The number 511 and 512 was introduced onto the castings of the Wagon and Flat Bed in  September 1952. And once cast, it was never changed and so it remained on all castings including these late the Guy “Warrior” Wagons and  Flat Truck lorries.
The first edition Guy “Warrior” Wagon and Flat Bed boxes were made between 1958 & 1960, the later, lighter yellow second edition boxes, were issued with the later examples of the Guy “Warrior“ Wagon and Flat Bed lorries in which those examples were issued with windows, and those models and boxes were made between 1960 & 1962.

Please to note: There was a rare coloured varient of the Guy "Warrior" Wagon produced at the factory which was in red cab & chassis, dark green wagon with red coloured wheels. But it has come to light that at least one fake example of this rare colour had been sold as original. Please see 'Information' for further information about this model.
